As winter approaches, many in our community face the harsh realities of Nebraska’s cold season without adequate protection. For the sixth consecutive year, the YMCA of Lincoln is stepping up to provide warmth through its annual Winter Coat Drive, benefiting People’s City Mission.

From October 1–21, all Lincoln YMCA locations will serve as drop-off sites for new or gently used coats. Since the coat drive’s inception, over 11,000 coats have been collected and distributed, thanks to the incredible generosity of YMCA members and the broader Lincoln community.

“No one in our community should have to face a Nebraska winter without a warm coat,” shared Renee Yost, President & CEO of the YMCA of Lincoln. “We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside People’s City Mission and our community to help meet such an important need for our neighbors.”
