One Person. One Meal.

Every day at People’s City Mission, one of the most important things we provide is also one of the simplest: a hot meal. Right now, our cafeteria is serving the more than 400 men, women, and children who are currently checked into the shelter.

For many of our guests, the meals are the only reliable food they receive each day. A warm breakfast or dinner is more than nourishment, it is a reminder that they are seen. I o en hear guests share that sitting down to a meal here gives them the strength to keep going.

At the same time, the cost of food continues to rise. Combined with the growing number of guests we serve, these increased expenses will become a strain in 2026. Yet there is hope. Because of friends like you, PCM has always been able to respond when the need is greatest.
